Recommended Madeira hotels

	Hotel Alpino Atlantico in Canico de Baixo. A small 4 start hotel, 8 km away from the airport in Santa Cruz. The hotel is set on a cliff 50 meters above the sea, and offers an exceptional view on the Atlantic.
	Pousada dos Vinhaticos in Serra de Agua. Small hotel situated in the heart of Madeira, surrounded by the laurel forest and high mountains. The hotel is the only remaining pousada on Madeira. The foods are great and prices are cheap.
	Hotel Moniz Sol in Porto Moniz. Comfortable and cheap 3 star hotel in Porto Moniz on the West side of Madeira. The hotel has 46 large bedrooms with sea view or mountain view. Porto Moniz is the perfect starting point to explore Paul Da Serra, Sao Vicente and the North coast of Madeira. In our opinion this hotel deserves 4 stars.
	Hotel Monte Mar Palace in Ponta Delgada. Luxurious 4 star hotel in the North of Madeira. This hotel is very popular to European travel agencies and attracts many tourists. Set on a cliff at the sea side, it offers a great view on the dramatic coast line. A hotel closer to Santana could be a better option, but there are not much hotels on this side of the island. We suggest an early booking to guarantee your room.
	Estalagem A Quinta in Santo da Serra. A small hotel with only 11 rooms, set in a residential environment near the golf courts. The airport is only a few kilometers away, which is the main reason for selecting this hotel for our last night on Madeira.
